In 2008, I cofounded the band Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds with two of my cousins. Over the past few years, we toured more than 170 shows a year, and played such festivals as Bonnaroo, Voodoo Fest, and Telluride Jazz Festival. I left the band in October 2014 to concentrate on my freelance career. While with the band, I recorded three albums.
